Holy crap it's been a while since I logged in and even longer since I've posted anything. Man, just looking through my gallery, I'm almost embarrassed by how bad some of the pictures are in it are. I'm so tempted to just go through and delete half of them, but then I wouldn't have anything left. I'm taking a drawing class this year and I may post some of my assignments up on here. The problem is that my sketchbook is bigger than a scanner and taking an iPhone pic of them would be horrible quality and it would obviously be a picture of a sketch. But I guess it's better than nothing? I kind of lost interest in drawing for a while, re-injuring my wrist totally killed my desire to sit here and draw and draw and then a couple rough summers killed my inspiration. I'm majoring in graphic design now, so I'm still doing art of some sort, but now I'm finding that designing graphics for websites and stuff is so much more fun than just drawing. However, taking this drawing class is reminding me that drawing actually can be fun and is almost making me want to start drawing my characters again. Almost. I still think about Ameera and am trying to figure out exactly what I want her world to look like and what kind of story I want to write for her. I do plan on doing something with her and her world. Right now I don't feel remotely competent enough to actually start drawing a comic for her, but maybe I'll write everything out and go from there. Though hell, first I have to actually flesh out her world and god knows when that will happen. Coming up with worlds and mythology and a good plot and story line, while fun, is definitely not my strong point. But we'll see. Anyways, I doubt anyone really pays attention to me but I just wanted to pop in and say hi Things have changed quite a bit around here since I was last active, omg! 

I hope everyone had a great Christmas! I know I did! This is going to be a short journal, I just want to wish everyone a happy new year! I hope 2010 is a good year for everyone. To all my watchers: I love you all! Thanks so much for your support!

So, what are everyone's resolutions? I think my New Year's resolution for the past 5 years (since I got my dog) has been to get her well trained. Yeah, hasn't happened yet XD

Some of my new years resolutions are:
-finish at least the rough draft of my comic/graphic novel (I plan on drawing it out roughly first before I actually start drawing the final version)
-Upload more art
-work more on drawing horses, even if I hate how it turns out, practice makes perfect.
-work more with my dog, and hopefully get her CGC
-bring my GPA up so I can get into seminary (if I still want to in 2 yrs)
-get a job with my school

So, apparently my uni didn't block DA this semester after all! Though it did take me a week for the layout to return to normal (for some reason the layout was all screwed up and I couldn't view anything), so I have billions of journals and deviants to go through. So sorry for all the faves-and-runs (not that I comment much anyways, I need to get better at that).

While DA works perfectly, my computer has decided that there's no way on earth that it will load Photoshop. Go figure. I open it and instead of loading it just stays at the very first screen. And then jams up and I have to close it. Its been doing this since I got here, and no amount of restarting has helped. I can't just re-install the program because a. my parents have the photoshop disk back at home and b. my CD drive is shot and will only read DVDs. So for now, I can't colour in all the linearts I've already done. So I guess prepare to see a lot of traditional art for a while (even though I suck at colouring with pencils) until I talk my computer into behaving for me and running photoshop. If I don't upload a whole lot of art, it's because PS isn't working and I hate what I do with coloured pencils.

I'm leaving for college tomorrow (I start my 2nd year, yay!) and last semester they blocked DA. So, since I'm not sure if they'll block it again (I had no problems getting on first semester, then after Christmas break they decided to crack down on what sites you can go to, and I couldn't get on here) I created a blog where I'll post my artwork. I know I haven't been too active here, but I do have a ton of drawings that I need to work on and upload, so (unless my school decides to be nice to me) when I finish I'll put 'em on my blog instead of here. Also, if you need to contact me, my email's on the blog, and I'll repost my AIM SN.

And I've somehow managed to misplace my driver's license. And it's almost 3 AM and I'm leaving at 7:30. Where the hell did I put it???? Leave it to me to screw up right when I don't have time for it XD Now to finish packing and hope that my license magically appears...

As you can see, I haven't let my wrist keep me from drawing XD It's still sore and I have to take lots of breaks while drawing something, but darn it, I'm GOING to draw. Still have yet to hear back from the stupid doctor's office with the results of my x-ray (that I had weeks ago). I finally called and left a message on Friday and hopefully they'll call me back.

Second, and the real reason for this journal entry: I've decided to start a new comic series (or rather, I guess a graphic novel would be the more correct term). I stupidly left my sketchbook with the first pages of my equine comic in VA with all the stuff I stored, which means no working on the comic during summer. So, I've decided to create a new one. This time, I already have a plot figured out (I only had a rough idea with  my horse comic), all I have to come up with the characters Ameera will be the main character of the comic, and it'll be based on her pack. And that's all I'm sayin' I don't know what I'll do with the horse comic, maybe I'll actually come up with a plot so I can work on it. And don't worry, they'll still be plenty of horse pics in my gallery. Right now, not so much, as colouring in hair hurts my wrist, so Ameera's easier to draw, but I could never give up on Joker. He's not going anywhere.
